Vice-Regal (New Zeal ana Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 6. The Governor-General (Lord Cobham) and Lady Cobham arrived in Auckland tonight. They will stay in Government House for about three months before returning to Wellington. Mr R. H. Stewart has been nominated to represent manufacturing and employers’ organisations on the board of governors of the Christchurch Technical College. Mr J. L. Hewland and Mr J. M Sherrard, associate mem bees of the Canterbury region of the National Historic Places Trust, were last evening elected members of the regional committee at the annual meeting of the region. Mr K. Cockburn, of * the staff of the school of engineering at the University of Canterbury, has been elected an associate member of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers.
