Deputy Commissioner Retires The deputy-commissioner and secretary of the Government Life Insurance Office . (Mr W. H. Tebbs) retired recently after 42 years’ service with the office. As a cadet, Mr Tebbs joined the organisation in Wellington in 1916. In 1936 he was appointed district manager at Nelson, and in 1947 he became district manager at Christchurch. He became deputy-commissioner and secretary in 1951. At a function presided over by the commissioner (Mr W. K. Watson), Mr Tebbs received a presentation from his friends and associates at the office. Mr G. Robertson has been appointed deputy-commissioner and supervisor of new business. Other senior changes are the appointments of Mr E. G. Kreeft, district manager, Wellington, to secretary, head office; Mr H. D. Kennedy, administration officer, head office, to district manager, Wellington; and Mr F. J. Stewart, investment officer, to administration officer, head office.
