Women’s Cricket English Women Lose Gear

The touring English women cricketers were unable to take the field for the start of the match against Victoria at Melbourne today, because all their gear was missing. A carrier’s truck with the gear and the players* personal luggage was “missing” somewhere between Melbourne and Sydney. The players waited until 2 p.m. then abandoned play for the day The English girls were upset by the mishap. They needed match practice for the second test against Australia. beginning on Friday.
