THE PORT WAIKATO In the shipping news of “The Press” yesterday, it was reported that the Port Waikato, after leaving Lyttelton on Saturday evening for the Chatham Islands, had turned back from the outer harbour with engine trouble. .The report was incorrect A representative of Holm and Company, agents for the vessel, said yesterday that the Port Waikato had not sailed, but was manoeuvring after being at the Oil Wharf to take in bunkers.
