Glacier Sails From McMurdo

(New Zealand Press Association) SCOTT BASE, Feb. 16. At very short notice the United States Navy icebreaker Glacier sailed from McMurdo Sound for New Zealand this evening by way of Little America and Cape Hallett station. The ship carried 22 passengers including Derek Wright, who was the New Zealand Antarctic expedition’s cameraman on Sir Edmund Hillary’s run to the South Pole. The Glacier is expected to return* to McMurdo on March 3.
