Negroes’ School Damaged
(N.Z Press Association —Copyright! CHATTANOOGA (Tenn.), Jan. 21. An explosion ripped two doors off their hinges, shat* tered 25 windows, and damaged the walls and ceilings of a negro elementary school at Chattanooga during the weekend, bnt no-one was injured. The police chief said he thought the explosion, outside Howard School, which 3000 negro pupils attend. was caused by a bomb constructed by placing dynamite inside a metal pipe. The school, which was opened in 1954, is one of the largest negro schools in the state.
