Wew Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 21. There have been some large cancellations of cargoes from Australia as a result of import restrictions. the general manager of the Union Steam Ship Company, Ltd. (Mr H. H. Dobie) said in Auckland today.
“But it is too early to say what effect the fall in trade will have on shipping services,” he said. “There has not been time for trade to settle down. The last thing we want,to do is to reduce ■the number of sailings. Whatever happens, the trade will be adequately covered.”
