VACANCIK GBNBRAL THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND LECTURER IN BOTANY APPLICATIONS are invited for the position of Lecturer in Botany. The successful applicant will be required to deliver lectures and conduct practical classes for internal and external students. Applicants should hold a higher degree in either Botany or Agriculture. Commencing salary will be fixed according to qualifications and experience within the range of £AI2OO x £ABO-£A1750 plus a cost of living allowance of £A7O (males) and £AS3 (females). Salaries are at present under review. Provision is made for superannuation, travel and removal expenses, assistance in buying or building a house. The scholarships are financed from moneys donated to the University by the Rural Credits Development Fund and the N.S.W. Department of Conservation to assist with the research on semi-arid lands. Applicants must have an Honours degree in Botany or in Agriculture and must be prepared to study for a higher degree (M.Sc. or Ph JO).

The salary is at the rate of £750 p.a. in addition, expenses such as travelling and University fees incurred in connexion with the research project will be paid by the University.
