Rugby Two Changes In England Team
(N.Z. Press Association— Copyright) LONDON. January 20. Two changes have been made from the England side which drew with Wales on Saturday in the England team announced today for the Rugby international against Australia at Twickenham on February 2. The first is the substitution of Hetherington for D. F. Allison (Coventry) at full-back, and the second Is the displacement of W. P. C. Davies (Harlequins) at centre by M. S. Phillips. Both newcomers are capped tor the first time.
Rugby Rep. Transferred.—The Thames Valley and All Black trialist Rugby half-back, R. C. Kerby, yesterday took up an appointment with the Ministry of Works at Dargaville. His move to Northland follows the transfer of the former All Black half-back, L. J. Townsend, from Dunedin to Whangarei.—(P-A.)
