Cycling I. Browne Breaks N.Z. Record

Brilliant team riding by the three top-ranking Australian cyclists, I Browne, T Marchant, and J. Perry, high-lighted a special athletic and cycling carnival in Palmerston North last night. Browne, the captain of the team, established a new national record for the flying quarter-mile in 25.1 sec. It wag the third time during the current tour that Browne has broken the old record for the distance.
