CEYLON AND RUSSIA
Low-Interest Loan Plan
(N.Z. Press Association—Copy ng nt) (Rec. 7 p.m.) COLOMBO, Jan. 18. Official sources say that Russia had offered Ceylon a low-interest long-term loan to help to finance her development projects. The amount and terms of conditions are now being discussed as part of an economic co-operation agreement between the two countries which is expected to be completed in the next week or two. \ Officials said that the negotiations were progressing satisfactorily for trade and payments agreements between the two countries to be signed next week by the Ceylon Government and the visiting Soviet trade delegation.
