(Recoin, for General Exhibition) PUBLIC NOTICES HALSWELL COUNTY COUNCIL PROPOSAL TO CLOSE ROADS TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1949, notice is hereby given that the Halswell County Council, for the purpose of permitting the Tai Tapu Motor Club, Inc., to conduct its programme of events, proposes, subject to the approval of the Minister of Transport, to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated hereunder:—

During the proposed periods of closure the following provision wilh be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the roads.

Any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of his objection and the grounds thereof in writing before January 21, 1958, at the office of the Council. 3 Annex road, Christchurch. ALTERNATIVE PROVISION FOR VEHICULAR TRAFFIC A permit to use the road will be issued to any essential user, and when possible, traffic will be permitted to use the roads between events. R.
