Sir, —It may be that President Eisenhower is sitting on a secret, that would rock the world. The great change will come suddenly, and. for some reason probably not now seen. It could be a gold rush. The Bible refers to gold in Arab lands (Genesis 2-111. The Eisenhower Doctrine is a recognition, of the truth of numerous prophecies. We will go to any length, even war, to keep Russia out of that territory.—Yours, etc., WORLD NEWS. January 6, 1958.
In some early editions yesterday a footnote to a letter gave the level of overseas reserves at the end of 1949 as £60.608. The figure should have been £60,608.000.
