Death Of Former Jockey Mr Lawrence David King, who died In Christchurch on Wednesday, was a notable hurdles and streplechaae jockey in Canterbury early in the century, and a member 6T a family well known in racing. His brothers. Messrs R. W. King and L. G. King, were also successful jockeys, and the former trained several winners, including the brilliant Silver .Bing. Mr Lawrence King rode many tampers trained by Mr. Free Holmes. One was Magnificent, which won u double in hurdle races at the New’ Zealand Cup meeting in 1984. V * Long Tout wks' another success-
