HOW MANY WILL NEED JOBS ?
This table shows the number of children reaching the age of 15 each year, from 1951 to 1965, as estimated by the research division of the Labour and Employment department. It is based on figures from the 1951 census and the 1950-52 Life Tables. The number of Maoris included in the 1951 figures were: boys, 1400; girls, 1300; total, 2700.
