Bertrand Russell
Sir,—“Answer Please,” do not try to solve the problem of saviour gods, but just follow the teachings as given throughout all religions and put before us from the mouth of Jesus in the Christian faith. “If you follow my words —if my words abide in you —then but not otherwise, the truth shal? dawn like a new day in your own consciousness,” Jesus said in essence. Don’t ask of man, don’t watch others, but follow. Yes. a very difficult task! As difficult as the solution of the different tasks allotted to Greek heroes. “Many shall be called, but few chosen.” Mind you, the way is narrow and few shall find it.—Yours, etc., LILLI J. SCHWARZ. January 8, 1958.
Sir, —In answer, to “Answer Please,” St. Matthew 24:23-24 reads: “Then, if any man shall say, unto you, 10, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs, and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”— Yours, etc., THE ANSWER. January 8, 1958.
