Three Girls Missing, One Dead
CN.Z. Preu Association—Com/rfoan LONDON, Jan. 6. British police were tonight probing the death or disappearance of four girls. One of the girls, a 19-year-old Dutch blonde, Mary Kriek, was found dead in a ditch by a road near Colchester, Essex, early today.. A post-mortem examination showed that Miss Kriek died from extensive head injuries. Police today began searching for 19-year-old Jean Patterson, of Gateshead, who has been missing for six days. They also continued to seek two 17-year-olds—Ann Noblett, of Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire, and Isabelle Cooke, of Glasgow. Miss Noblett has been missing for a wee* and Miss Cooke for eight days. *
