Memorial AVenue.—A start on the removal of the pine trees lining the Russley golf course was made on Monday. The trees are being removed to allow for the road widening on Memorial avenue, and once this has been completed a start on the construction of footpaths will be made. The footpath contract has been let and tenders for the road contract close next month.
