MONDAY (Before Messrs W. B. Gray and E. L. Tinker, Justices of the Peace.) VAGRANCY George Edward Wilkins, aged 48, a workman, was sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment when he pleaded guilty to a charge of being idle and disorderly, in that he had no lawful visible means of support, on December 28. REMANDED On a charge of driving a motorvehicle in Colombo street on December 28 while under the influence of drink or drugs, Ronald William Dale, aged 44, a painter, was remanded to January 23. Bail was allowed in the sum of £25, with one surety of £25. Karoly Kohalmi, aged 21, an electrician, was remanded to January 6 on a charge of the theft of £lO, the property of Henry Thomas Perkins, on December 28. Bail was allowed in the sum of £25, with one surety of £25, and he was ordered to report to the police daily. Derek Gordon Hair, aged 25, a seaman, was further remanded to January 6 on a charge of deserting the Athenic on October 28, 1955, at Lyttelton. On a charge of deserting the Port Halifax on January 8, 1947, at New Plymouth, William John Harrison, aged 54, was remanded to January 6. Bail was allowed iA the sum of £35,. with one surety of £25. He was ordered t| report to the police daily.
