U.S. Race For El Khobar
“The Press' Special Service AUCKLAND, December 30. The Auckland horse. El Khobar, is expected to have his next race in the United States on Saturday, when he will contest the San Carlos Handicap, run over seven, furlongs, with added prize money of 50,000 dollars, at Santa Anita. He will again be ridden by R. Neeves. Considering that it was his first start since August, El Khobar came through last week’s race in good shape. His owner, Mt W. Fisher, hopes to see El Khobar run on Saturday, and it is likely that he will go by air to America on Wednesday evening.
