BALLET COMPANY TO TOUR
Attractions For Next Year
Arrangements have been made for the Borovansky Ballet Company. of 70 members, to tour New Zealand early next year The tour, which has been arranged by J. C. Williamson Theatres, Ltd., will be on behalf of the Education in Music and Dramatic Arts Society. The company will start its season in Wellington on February 4, with a four-act ballet, ‘‘Swan Lake.” The other ballet the company will present Is the ever popular “Nutcracker,” which has broken records wherever it has been presented in Australia. Another show that will visit New Zealand next year is “’Die Pyjama Game,” a popular musical comedy. The New Zealand season will start in Auckland on February 10. “The Pyjama Game” was so successful at Melbourne at Its initial presentation that it was taken back there for a special Christmas season, opening on Boxine Day for a five-week season Two of the songs from the show—“ Hey There,” and “Hern ando’s Hideaway”—have been simultaneously on hit parades wherever they have been released The musical deals with the efforts of a group of workers in a pyjama factory to obtain a rise in salary.
