DINNER PARTY FOR PRINCESS
Queen To Be Guest Of Honour
(Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 30. The Queen will be guest of honour at a dinner party before Princess Alexandra’s 21st birthday party at Kensington Palace on January 8, according to the “Daily Mail." Fifty relatives and close friends will attend the dinner and 200 will dance in the ballroom afterwards.
The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and Princess Margaret will drive from Sandringham for the evening. Princess Alexandra was 21 on Christmas Day.
Train Crash Inquest.— The inquest on the 90 victims of the Lewisham train crash on December 4 will open in London today Two crowded trains were involved in the crash in fog. Wrecked carriages struck a fly-over bridge which crashed down pinning two coaches.—London, December 30.
