INDONESIAN ARMS PURCHASE
Military Missions To Communist Countries (N.Z. Press Association—Co-pyngnti (Rec. 8 p.m.) NEW YORK, December 28. The Indonesian Foreign Minister (Dr. Subandrio) confirmed reports that Indonesia was seeking arms from Communist countries today when he said military missions would be sent shortly to Poland, Czechoslovakia and Jugoslavia, the American Associated Press reported from Jakarta.
This was a continuation of standing policies, he said.
“It is not our policy to purchase military equipment from Eastern European countries only/’ Dr? Subandrio said. “We are eager to purchase from Western as well as Eastern countries.”
