GERMAN NOW ANGLICAN CLERGYMAN.—The Rev. Martin Cordes, aged 50, a former member of the staff of the German War Office, and his fiancee, Miss Elizabeth Gasser, aged 42, photographed at Melbourne Parish Church, Derbyshire, on December 15, after Mr Cordes had been ordained into the ministry of the Church of England. Mr Cordes was in charge of German Army records before the war. A member of the German Confessional Church, he found the Nazis unsympathetic to his religious views and fled the country. He met Miss Gasser in Switzerland nearly 20 years ago. They are to be married in the new year.
