Stud Sheep Stolen In Riverina
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, Dec. 1. Five Merino stud sheep worth more than £4OOO have been stolen bom Billabong Station. 25 miles from Wyalons. in the rich Riverina farming district of New South Wales. The owner of the property, Mr J B. Sanderson, has offered the reward of £lOOO for the safe return of the sheep. Pastoral authorities said that the amount was the highest ever offered in Australia. Mr Sanderson, who is a wellknown studmaster and sheep show judge, said that he believed the “raiders” stole the sheep without knowing they were valuable stud stock. One stud sire ram and four stud book Merino ewes were taken.
