The great part played by French schools and scientific in- .. stitutions in the cultural life of Egypt was outlined by Mr M. Goldring at the last meeting of the Christchurch French Club. Presided over by Mr H. Honore. * Mr Goldring said that ever since ‘ the davs of Napoleon. France had , formed a link between Europe ■ and Egypt. C. Benson and Mrs j. Maurepiu.
