Public Notice is Hereby Given that the Kaiapoi Borough Council at its meeting held on the 17th day of May, 1957, has resolved to prepare for the Kaiapoi Borough (or. if the case so requires, for the parts thereof described in the schedule to this notice), a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1953. Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme. RESOLUTION. Whereas under and by virtue of Section 107 of “The Counties Act, 1956,” it is provided that the Council shall make and levy the general rate separately in each riding of the County, AND WHEREAS Section 109 of "The Counties Act, 1956” provides that the Council of any County may by Special Order declare that the said Section 107 as aforesaid, shall cease to apply to the County, AND WHEREAS the Rangiora County Council is desirous of adopting the provisions of the said Section 109. NOW THEREFORE in pursuance and in exercise of the provisions of Section 109 of The Counties Act, 1956, as aforesaid, the Rangiorg Countv Council doth hereby RESOLVE and DECLARE that Section 107 of ’’The Counties Act, 1956” shall cease to apply to the County.
