APPEAL COURT PRESIDENT
Function To Honour Mr Justice Gresson Members of the legal profession in Christchurch will gather in the Supreme Court on Friday afternoon to honour Mr Justice K. M. Gresson on his appointment as president of the recently-formed permanent Court of Appeal. Mr Justice Gresson, who is a grandson of the first judge to be appointed to the Canterbury circuit (Judge H. B. Gresson), is at present presiding over proceedings in the Christchurch Supreme Court during the absence of the resident Judge, Mr Justice Adams. On Friday he will make his last appearance in the Court here as a member of the Supreme Court bench. At the function members of the bar will pay tribute to his Honour and an address will be given by the president of the Canterbury District Law Society (Mr R. A. Young).
