HOTEL LICENCE TRANSFERS
Committee Grants Approval A further extension to February 12 • of the time allowed for the Paparua County Council to submit plans in support of its application for a publican’s licence at Hornby was granted yesterday by the Christchurch Licensing Committee. The council is acting on behalf of a trust yet to be formed. Six applications were granted by the committee. Mr Rex C. Abernethy, S.M., was acting chairman. Frank A. Cook, Ltd., was authorised to remove its wholesale liquor licence from 799 Colombo street to 58 Kilmore street. ' The transfer of Gerard William Graham’s wineseller’s licence to Ewart Alex Selman was approved. The following transfers of hotel licences were also approved:—Sandridge Hotel, from William Alonza Morris to William Alexander Anderson; Foresters Hotel, from John Molloy Freeman to William Clifford Corberry; Bower Hotel, from Cyjil Lloyd Flattery to John Molloy Freeman; Masonic Hotel, from Alfred William Wells to Basil Parsons.
