A huge bushfire swept out of a valley this afternoon and burned through the Blue Mountains town of Leura, about 60 miles from Sydney. At one stage of the mass flight from Leura, panic reached a new peak when fear-maddened horses galloped down the streets through the running women and children to disappear into the still unburned scrub.
