RELIEF FROM FIRES
Cooler Day In
N.S.W (Rec. 9 p.m.) SYDNEY. Nov. .20. Cool breezes and temperatures in the low 60’s brought settlers in the Blue Mountains their first real relief from bushfire danger for five days today. Fires are still burning at Faulconbridge. Glenbrook, and Wentworth Falls, but they are well away from any townships and there were no reports this morning of any farm properties threatened.
Patrols reported that with the cooler weather this morning, the fire danger had eased sharply. One fire officer said: “The danger seems to have passed for the time being.”
