Change In Book Censorship

CANBERRA. October 29. No books would be banned in future except on the recommendation of members of the Literature Censorship Board, the Minister for Customs. Senator Norman Henty, said in the Senate today. He was detailing changes he has made in Australia's book censorship procedures. He said he had asked the Literature Censorship Board to overhaul the list of books banned over the years in Australia. The board would release as many books as should be released when related to present-day conditions. Senator Henty said books would not be banned before going to the Literature Censorship Board for review.
