TRAIN WRECK IN TURKEY

Twenty-five persons have been reported killed, and 150 injured, in a collision between an express and a local train in Turkish' Thrace last night. When the first train bringing injured from the crash arrived at Istanbul early today an eyewitness described the scene of the collision as a slaughterhouse. A Turkish railway spokesman I said that the express was the| Simplon, one of Europe’s most, famous international trains. I It was heading for Salonika! when it came into collision with' a local train on its way to Istanbul from Edirne. Railway officials believed the collision was due to a misunderstanding between two stations. The first three compartments of the local train are reported to have been wrecked.
