COMMERCIAL B.H.P. Heads List Of Price Falls

Broken Hill Proprietary, falling 9<l below last Thursday's Christchurch price and fid below Friday’s price in business elsewhere, was one of six shares traded at lower prices in Christchurch yesterday. Fletcher Holdings, Humes (N.Z.) preference, J. Gadsdens preference. Forest Products, and Woolworths (N.Z.) Properties preference were also weaker. Vibrapac Blocks appeared on the official list yesterday but were not quoted. Vibrapac (Otago), in which the Christchurch firm has a half interest, had buyers al 14s (id, with sellers 9d away.

Brisbane Wool Sale.—There was a full clearance of 16.141 bales a) the Bribane wool sale yesterday. Competition was good and widespread from Britain. Japan, and the Continent, with support from Australian mills. Values were on a par to two and a half per cent, up on last Sydney's closing rates.
