Launch Set Adrift At Dunedin

The Otago Harbour Board’s launch lona was set adrift early yesterday morning for the second time in less than a month. The harbourmaster (Captain E. Mackenzie) said several youths made off when the watchman approached and disappeared in a car in the direction of the city at about 2.30 a.m. It was too dark and too far away to obtain the licence number of the vehicle. About a month ago. all four of the harbour board’s launches were! set adrift. Gear was thrown overboard and some was severely damaged.
