D. D. Mochan Placed At Top
(New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, Oct. 2. An offer of a tour by an Australian men’s squash team next year was accepted by the management committee of the New Zealand Squash Rackets Association at a meeting in Palmerston North tonight. A draft itinerary covering a tour of 23 days is to be forwarded to the Australian body for its approval. The committee also decided to issue an invitation for an Australian women’s team to visit New Zealand In 1959. The following ranking list was Issued Men: D. D. Mochan (Hawke’s Bay) 1, N. Coe (Timaru) 2, A. G. Roberts (Remuera) 3, A. M. Johns (Palmerston North) 4, D. G. Green (Dunedin) 5, M. Gunn (Oamaru) 6, P. Mackenzie (Oamaru) 7, R. B. Clarke (Palmerston North) 8. Women: Miss A. Mackenzie (Oamaru) 1, Mrs N. Nek (Palmerston North) 2, Miss J. Burmeister (Palmerston North) 3, Mrs M. Naylor (Remuera) 4.
