Wider Borrowing For Corporation

Legislation giving wider powers to the National Airways Corporation to borrow money was introduced to the House of Representatives today. The measure, a New Zealand National Airways Amendment Bill, allows the Minister of Finance to guarantee loans raised in a number of ways by the corporation. Another provision authorises the Corporation, with the consent of the Minister of Civil Aviation, to make loans or advances or give guarantees of loans or advances for the establishment or operation of an air service or any service ancilliary to an bir service. w
