Car Driver Dies Of Injuries
(New Zealana Press Association) NAPIER. Qctober 3 James Dow Thompson, aged 45. a pensioner, of Bay View, died in the Napier Public Hospital this afternoon after having been severely injured in a car accident 10 days ago. Mr Thompson suffered a broken neck, head injuries, abrasions, and shock when his car crashed into a power pole at Bay View.
Cyclist Injured
A schoolgirl cyclist, Diane Thackweil, of 47 Raeburn avenue, was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital yesterday morning after a collision with a car at the corner of Bealey avenue and Springfield road at 8.45 a.m.- She suffered concussion and is being retained in the hospital for observation. Her condition is satisfactory.
