Tulloch’s Trial At Randwick
(N.Z Press Association—Copyright)
SYDNEY. October 1. The A.J.C. Derby favourite. Tulloch, ran a brilliant mile at Randwick today. He recorded Imin 42sec for the distance, with the last three fur’ongs in 37sec.
“Tulloch needed no urging from me.” said his jockey, George Moore. Had the conditions been ideal for walloping—a near-gale was blowing— Tulloch would have recorded 36sec for the last three furlongs. Bookmakers said today the New Zealand-bred colt would start one of the shortest-priced favourites ever in the A.J.C. Derby. Already he is at long odds-on.
