High-Priced Colt Named Blue
The Local Light—Blue Revue colt, which brought the record price of 4250 guineas at the 1956 yearling sales, has been registered as Blue by A. B. Holmes, of Yaldhurst, and J. Shelly, of Wellington. Blue established a world record for one mile by a yearling w hen he recorded 2mln 9 l-3sec in a special time trial at Addington last April. Shortly after he was auctioned at the sales, and was purchased by an agent of Mr Shelly. Apparently, Holmes, who tra’ns the colt, has retained a half-share In him.
