MAN-MADE FIBRES—No. 1 RAYON This is the first in a daily series issued in your interests. With the spate of new synthetics, Rayon is in danger of being forgotten, yet this was first in the field and still accounts for 80 per cent, of the World’s production in man-made fibres. Viscose Rayon is a cellulose fibre made from wood pulp, and therefore is not strictly a synthetic. Its Dopularity is due to its pleasant “handle.” its easy draping, and the ease with which it takes dye. It is also clean and white and needs no bleaching. Munns, Ltd., the Man’s Shop, can show a white spun rayon shirt by Casualaire with a smart business collar—this has proved a great favourite at only 39s 6d. But it is interesting to note that often repeat buyers are not conscious that this shirt is rayon and have bought on performance alone, from: MUNNS, THE MAN’S SHOP, Cnr. Gloucester and Colombo streets.
