“WHAT C.O.R.S.O. DOES WANT”
Confusion Over Leaflet Error
tNew Zealand Press Assoctationr AUCKLAND, September 17. A printer’s error in a leaflet posted to householders throughout New Zealand by the Council of Organisations for Relief Services Overseas appealing for support of a. house-to-house clothing drive next Saturday has resulted in confusion. Two . lists of possible donations are headed “These are no use.” The first list, clothes for men. boys, and babies, coats, suits, and costumes, skirts, trousers and warm woollens, blankets, knitting wool, and remnants of good material, soft toys, boys' boots and shoes, should have been headed "These are urgently needed,” according to the drive organiser (Mr Haddon C. Dixon). “The articles enumerated in the left-hand column are urgently needed, and only those in the : right-hand one are of no use to ' the destitute overseas,” Mr Dixon says. "Already our telephone has been , ringing incessantly with folk i wanting to know just what we do want in this collection.”
