Indoor Basketball 1958 Women’s Tour Of Australia
(New Zealand Press Association) NELSON, September 17*A New Zealand » women's indoor basketball team will make a two months’ tour of Australia in October of next year, the president of the New Zealand Women’s Basketball Association (Mrs Z. Gay, of Nelson) announced today. The team, comprising 12 players and three officials, will make a comprehensive tour, visiting Hobart. Adelaide, and TownsviDe. Mrs Gay said a North IslandSouth Island trial match would be played in Wellington on Saturday, July 12, 1958, after the North Island and South Island championships, which will be held at Hamilton and Ashburton respectively. Both the championships will be held in the last week of June.
The New Zealand, selectors for the Australian tour are Messrs E. Monk, of Palmerston North, R. Stowers, of Hamilton, and B. MacKay, of Invercargill.
