The boy who became a radar mechanic HE had to pass a qualifying examination to join the R.N.Z.A.F. Boy Entrant scheme, and he was successful. A year at the Boy Entrant School with too other boys followed . . . more school and an intensive preparation for his Air Force career. Then a year’s trade training as a radar mechanic at the finest radio school in the Southern Hemisphere. He’s now doing a worth-while job for his country as a qualified radar technician. HIGHLY PAID. His pay at 181 years is £9-17-9 P« week and all found. Later there will be more advanced training and more pay. He knows there’s a good career for him in the electronic age.
