(New Zealand PreSs Association) WANGANUI, September 1. The opening day of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s spring meeting was held on Saturday in warm, overcast weather. The tradk was in good order, and there was a good attendance. r ' The favourites, Clinker and - Imittiaon won the double races and returned a dividend of £l7 2s for £l. There were 11,842 10s tickets bn the combination.

The on-course totalisator turnover of £63,015 10s, represented an increase of £4684 10s over the. £58,331 handled pn the corresponding day last year. Results:—
