REFEREE STOPS MATCH
Incidents In Game At Dunedin ’Neu DUNEDIN, September 1. The main Rugby League match between Kia Toa and Celtic at Tahuna Park yesterday was stopped by the referee half-way through the second spell. The referee (Mr H. Coombe) warned several players, but these warnings apparently were disregarded. Shortly after. Mr Coombe blew his whistle and stopped the game. Kia Toa was leading 13-6 at that stage. The position will be considered by the Otago Board of Control. Wellington.—Hutt Valley 35, Wellington 20.
