Situation: A cold front is moving north-eastwards over the South Island. Forecast:— Canterbury: Moderate to fresh southerly winds and showers developing during the morning; colder temperatures. Outlook: showers north of Banks Peninsula.West Coast: Light to moderate south-easterly winds; occasional rain at first, but weather mainly fair later in the day; temperatures cool. Outlook: mainly fair. Nelson and Marlborough: Light to moderate variable winds, southerlies predominating on the Marlborough coast; weather mainly fair, but a period of showers in the afternoon; cool temperatures. Outlook: mainly fair.
