The installation of Mr Pote Sarasin as first Secretary-General of the South-east Asia Treaty Organisation would give new impetus to the organisation's work, . S.E.A.T.O. sources said. , Mr Sarasin, a former Thailand I Ambassador to Washington, will I arrive in Bangkok on August 31, I and be installed in his new post • at S.E.A.T.O. headquarters on September 4. Mr WilHam Worth, of Australia, i who will be his deputy, will arrive in Bangkok on August 28. Mr Sarasin will be administrative head of a green-roofed, ; white-fronted, three-storey building in central Bangkok, which is
the watching post for Communis! attack and subversion in Southeast Asia and the South-wesl Pacific region. He will have working for him a staff of about 100 recruited from the eight member Nations —Australia, France, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand, the United States and Britain.
