Fluoridation
Sir,—lt is not the commission which decides the adequacy of fluorides in our waters. It is
demonstrated by the early Maoris whose skulls are exhibited in the museum, wild life, domesticated animals, zoo animals, and people using a balanced diet, all of whom have perfect teeth. A family of three generations in Christchurch consuming one quart of raw milk a person daily have perfect teeth. Adults who consumed limed water as children possess perfect teeth. Seawater is free from measurable fluoride yet the fish have perfect teeth. All children can have perfect teeth by using one quart of milk each daily compulsorily at school. Why is this not done, incidentally remedying our deficit butter accounts and benefiting everybody? —Yours, etc., JOHN BURBRIDGE. August 20, 1957.
