Badminton OTAGO HELD NEIL CUP WINNER
(Neio Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 21. Otago has been declared winner of the South Island final of the Neil Cup for inter-provincial badminton competition. This was decided at a special meeting of the New Zealand Badminton Federation management committee in Wellington.
Southland had previously been declared the winner, but it was found that though both Otago and Southland had an even number of match wins, and an even number of games wins, Otago was ahead on the points average. Wellington will now play Otago in the New Zealand final of the Wisden Cup. The contest is expected to be tn Wellington within the next two weeks.
